My template is in 3 parts, the header, the toolbar and the main body. Now when i am slicing up my toolbar do i need to slice the whole bar first, then slice the individual buttons. Also during the prosses of slicing do you need to select the layer, or layers on the layers pannel of wich you are slicing.
Thank you.

after finishing slicing i go to Dreamweaver CS3 to start making hyperlinks from them. Now every time i type something in the ” Link ” bar when trying to make hyperlinks, and press enter to finish, slices depart from each other, leaving white stripes between them.

yes, just slice …
yes, just slice then as normal, save it in the ‘normal state’ and afterwards go save for web those images again, but this time save them in the ‘rollover state’,..
or simply said.. just get the images of the diffirent states of your button WITH THE CORRECT DIMENSIONS (height pixels, witdh pixels) to avoid your layout from blowing up..
as for dropdown menu images.. sorry.. dunno how to put design in these yet in their dropdown stage

once you ’save for …
once you ’save for web &devices’ like said in the video,.. you get the html file where you saved it right?.. like showed in the video.. THATS.. the ‘’skeleton code’.. but i highly suggest you drag along your ‘images’ folder to where you put your website online cuz without it… your website is just going to be an empty table (HTML table that is)..
get it? =)
